Kista Mall Foodcourt, Sweden
In 2019, Citycon, owner of one of Sweden’s largest restaurant chains with more than 20 restaurants, decided to completely renovate its own food court in Kista Mall. In addition to uniform furnishings and a new ceiling, the food court at Kista Mall also received a new lighting solution that, in combination with the suspended ceiling, creates a harmonious overall image.
Lighting designer Andreas Wiil from Light Bureau in Solna commented on the aim of the project as follows: “The aim of the lighting design was to integrate the lighting solutions into the adapted ceiling. The diffuse light above the ceiling interacts with the direct lighting effect.”
To achieve this goal, the FUSION Linear System was chosen for its versatile mounting options and the wide range of lighting inserts that can be integrated into the die-cast aluminum profile: From rigid downlights, to various spot solutions, to wall washers, to homogeneous light lines – the FUSION Linear System provides the right lighting solution.
Above the food court, our General Light light lines were installed between the ceiling ribs. Additional profiles running directly towards the General Light light line with the excellently glare-reduced FUSION FF5 with a UGR value of <10 and the free-moving SL300-2S spotlights provide a great lighting atmosphere, which gives the visitors of the food court a great stay in the Kista Mall.
Thanks to our NEKO Global Partner FLUX AB for realizing this great project.
