Shire House in Bradford, United Kingdom

Shire House, in the North of England, was recently renovated with a focus to improve and enhance the visual asthetics of the working environment. With over 1900m² spread over 5 floors, the office refurbishment was completed to the highest standards in 2020, including an impressive reception in which we used the NEKO FUSION Linear System.

The aim of the lighting design was to give the interior architecture the appearance of a continuous linear system and at the same time guarantee the best general and accent lighting. The FUSION Linear System offers the possibility of integrating various inserts into an extruded aluminum profile, in order to provide solutions for spot, accent and general lighting.

In the front part of the reception area, an L-shaped recessed profile was installed in which our FUSION FF5 downlights were used, which output a clearly defined, circular light distribution with a high level of visual comfort and with a UGR <10. In the rear part, three linear recessed profiles were installed, each with two GL600 general lighting inserts. The profiles were punctuated with SL300-2S spot lighting, which were positioned left-justified to accent the storage area.

In the corridors to the elevators, three 1800mm length pendulum profiles were used between the ceiling slats. The FUSION FF10 in the two front profiles ensures maximum light output. With a UGR <10, the linear downlight insert offers a high level of visual comfort. In the rear profile, the focus was placed on highlighting the painting on the wall with our wall washer.
