Aurum University in Turku, Finland

Aurum is an educational institution of the Faculty of Engineering of Åbo Akademi University and the Department of Chemistry of the University of Turku.

The building covers an area of 20,000m2 and includes various teaching and research areas, laboratory facilities, meeting rooms and associated offices, which are shared by both universities.

The SUGAR pendant luminaires were used in the various teaching areas as a grouping of several sizes with the aim of creating exciting lighting scenes. The optical appearance of the SUGAR luminaires is set back via the decorative reflector ring in a noble gold tone.

The microprismatic cover of the SUGAR represents a particularly attractive solution for office and teaching areas due to its optimized glare limitation, so that the teaching staff as well as fellow students can pursue their tasks in a focused and glare-free manner.

We would like to thank Teclux Oy for the realization of the project.
